Oceansafe Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lithocrete, a company founded by Shaw & Sons Concrete Contractors, California’s premier architectural concrete company. Shaw & Sons has been in business for over 60 years and has developed a reputation for quality and dependability in a highly competitive market. Oceansafe’s pilot demonstration system is installed at Shaw & Sons' headquarters at the address shown above. The Oceansafe system has been in operation for over two years and has met all of the design criteria specified.
The need for Oceansafe was spurred by the deteriorating condition of our oceans and beaches due to stormwater runoff carrying pollutants into the storm drains and emptying it into the ocean. The high cost and limited availability of land in most metropolitan and urban areas makes it nearly impossible to construct large scale catchment basins and treatment facilities. The move toward small scale Low Impact Develpoment (LID) and containment and management of the storm water at the source has become the logical preferred solution. The founders of Oceansafe recognized this need as a result of their long experience in the construction industry and developed a system that was suitable for use in the Southern California market.
Oceansafe will support potential clients and their design team with detailed data about the Oceansafe system and will provide standardized specification. Oceansafe will provide installation services, or will also support the installation of the system through a comprehensive training course at our companies headquarters.
